At the time of the proposal, Design By Rocket will provide the Client with a quotation. The quotation is valid for fourteen (14) days from the date of issue.
The Client may send an email in reply to the quote which binds the Client to accept Design by Rocket’s terms and conditions. No work on a project will commence until this and the deposit (as quoted) has been received.
A 30% deposit (unless stated otherwise in the quote the Client receives) of the total fee payable is due before work will commence. At the discretion of Design by Rocket. Design by Rocket reserves the right not to commence any work until the deposit has been paid in full. Final payment is due before any digital files or website is launched.
Before finalising each deliverable, Design by Rocket shall send a draft to the Client for approval. The Client may give either:
a) unconditional approval for Design by Rocket to proceed with the Project
b) conditional approval subject to refinement.
Any changes to the deliverables after approval may incur an additional fee, which is chargeable per hour.
The Client is entitled to two rounds of feedback and refinement to any deliverables submitted by Design by Rocket to the Client for approval. Any feedback and refinement must not be such that:
a) the nature of the Deliverables would be changed
b) would be inconsistent with the original quote
c) would increase the scope of work agreed to by Design by Rocket for the Project.
If the feedback and refinements required by the Client do not meet the quoted instructions, work will be charged at an hourly rate.
If the Client requests refinements over and above two rounds, these will be charged at an hourly rate.
All requests for revisions and alterations by the Client must be in writing via email.
Charges for any additional services over and above the quote will be advised via email and detailed on the final invoice.
An initial 15-minute virtual consultation is offered for potential Clients and is free of charge.
Cancellation of virtual consultations within twenty-four (24) hours, or failing to show for a meeting within 15-minutes of the start time will incur a $90 fee. This will be emailed and must be paid within seven (7) days.
Where required, one meeting will be included at the initial stage of the Project as itemised in the quote. Should an additional meeting be requested or special presentations or training required, this will be charged at an hourly rate and detailed on the final invoice.
Design by Rocket reserves the right not to undertake any work which in its opinion is or may be unlawful, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate. At the discretion of Design by Rocket.
Design by Rocket will take all reasonable care to check proofs carefully for accuracy in all respects. It is the Client’s responsibility to check all artwork carefully, including spelling, grammar, images and colours. Text changes and corrections will not be taken over the phone and must be provided via email. Design by Rocket is not liable for any errors once the Client approves the file(s) for print. All files are to be approved by the Client via email.
The Client has ownership of the final design for use in any media application that is beneficial to your business. Then ownership will transfer to the Client only when the agreement has been signed upon completion and only when full payment for the project is received.
Design by Rocket retains the right to use the final design, or any versions of the design created in the process, within printed and online portfolios, including promotional materials such as newsletters and advertisements. The Client also gives Design by Rocket permission to use the Client’s full name, business name, and/or website address, for testimonial purposes on their website, or other business related media including social media. The Client understands that it is the Client’s responsibility to seek a trademark.
Design by Rocket may request passwords and details to fulfil the requirements of a project. Design by Rocket will not misuse any confidential information that may be made available.
The Client agrees not to disclose the fees charged by Design by Rocket or any confidential information we provide you. The Client is responsible for keeping any passwords and usernames issued by Design by Rocket confidential.
Design by Rocket retains the exclusive right of ownership of all original artwork files created by it. Master files are not included in the final price or quote and are not considered part of the final deliverables. The Client is entitled to a copy of the final product i.e. the print-ready PDF, Brand Guidelines – unless agreed in writing that the master files will be released, for which an additional fee may apply.
All design work where there is a risk that another party makes a claim should be registered by the Client with the appropriate authorities before publishing and legal advice sought as to its use. Design by Rocket will not be held responsible for any damages resulting from such claims.
Cancellation of projects may be made initially by phone or email, a formal notification in writing is then required within seven days. The Client will then be invoiced for all work completed over and above the non-refundable deposit, charged at an hourly rate. The balance must be paid within seven (7) days.
Cancellation of virtual or in-person meetings within twenty-four (24) hours, or failing to show for a meeting within 15-minutes of start time will incur a $90 fee. This will be emailed and must be paid within seven (7) days.
Work done by Design By Rocket will be turned around within a reasonable no-rush schedule outlined in the quote, and mutually agreed upon at the start of each project. After-hours or weekend hours incurred to accommodate additional compressed deadlines if needed will be negotiated separately.
Illness, injury, or other events beyond Design by Rocket’s control, such as fire, theft, computer failure, etc. may result in a delay of unpredictable length.
Work done by Design by Rocket will be completed within the standard workweek (Monday through Friday 9 am – 4 pm). Design by Rocket is closed on all major holidays and the entire week of Christmas and New Year’s.
Design by Rocket agrees to store all final electronic files created for the Client for a maximum of two years.
Design by Rocket reserves the right to display any work in its portfolio. When a Client’s website is designed and/or built by Design by Rocket, a link will be added at the bottom of the Client’s website to Design by Rocket’s website. This shall not be removed.
Design by Rocket uses third-party services and open source technology for web design and development projects. Whilst every care will be taken to ensure the website and any scripts or programs are free of errors. Design by Rocket cannot take responsibility for any losses incurred due to malfunction of the website or any part of it.
When requesting a website to be made by Design by Rocket, the Client acknowledges responsibility for collecting content and other relevant material required to complete the project and for providing that material to Design by Rocket promptly. Failure to deliver material to complete a project when requested may delay the delivery of services and may also result in increased costs being incurred. The Client agrees that any such increased costs shall be charged by Design by Rocket and shall be in addition to the quote total.
Design by Rocket will provide the Client with the opportunity to review the finalised work. Design by Rocket will make one set of minor changes at no extra cost within fourteen (14) days of the start of the review period. Minor changes include small textual changes and small adjustments to the placement of items on the page. It does not include changes to images, colour schemes, or any navigation features.
If changes are requested after the work has been finalised and handover has been completed, after the fourteen (14) day review period, they will be charged at an hourly rate. This includes any over-the-phone communication in regard to the completed project.
Design by Rocket will, as part of setting up your website, carry out basic search engine optimisation for you. However, we cannot and do not guarantee where your website will be ranked and any additional, ongoing specialist search engine work requested will be charged for.
Before commencing a new Project, you will be required to pay a 30% deposit (unless outlined otherwise in the quotation). Milestone Payments will be required before progressing, and Final Payment must be made before Project handover. Payments are to be made within fourteen (14) days of receiving the invoice. Any delay in payments will incur a 5% fee. At the discretion of Design by Rocket.
We’re sure you understand how important it is as a small business that you pay the invoices that we send you promptly. The client is responsible for all debt collection fees, legal fees and court fees that may be incurred as a result of the Client’s failure to pay invoices within fourteen (14) days of the date of issue.

Design by Rocket will review replacement of Prints or refund requests within 14 days of placed order. If a Print is damaged or subject to print error, Design by Rocket will replace the erroneous Print with a new Print. Refund requests will be processed within five (5) working days.
Design by Rocket is not responsible for situations when the Customer has provided incorrect information, such as the wrong Customer name, Print details, or shipping address. In such cases, an extra payment will be applied.
Due to the individualisation of the Print, there is no right of withdrawal for the Print after an order has been placed.
By accepting the supplied quote from Design by Rocket, you accept the above contract.
